Warm And Outside

There is a nice zen like quality to home ownership. When you are not cursing like a sailor at some broken part of your house anyway. I've been weeding this afternoon at a fairly good clip. Bend down, pop dandelion out of ground toss aside, repeat makes for a fairly calming task. It's nice. Now that I'm set to have some real and meaningful income I can stop and enjoy some of the little things I couldn't before (I can't do chores I have to research the job market in Spokane for big cat inseminators).

One odd thing about today: the woman in a jacket and knit wool cap, that had to be uncomfortable.

I keep thinking I should want to own a house. But then I think of all the headaches of having to be the one to fix things. I'm sure I'll pass into the "wanting to own a house" phase eventually...

In the meantime, I channel my nesting instincts into flower boxes and knitting, I suppose. No weeding, thank god. *grin*

I always hated weeding, but you make it sound so Zen Magic. Weed on, brutha.
