What The!?

How many times can I dream that I have to back and complete high school because, due to some freakish administrative oversight, I never actually completed it.

The weirdest part about last nights iteration on the theme: John Candy cast as his wookie-parody character from Spaceball's.

Two nights ago I dreamed I was in some kind of parklike setting with a bunch of groovy people, when somebody suddenly shouted "wild boar!" and I turned around and, lo, a gigantic wild boar was charging at us. My first inclination was to stay still paralyzed, until someone told me, "No, fight it off, if you're still it will attack." So I began to fight, and the boar stood up on its hind legs, so it towered about 7 feet tall, and it started kickboxing me.

Stranger than John Candy's Spaceballs character, no?

(By the way, the details are fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure the boar won)

That is certainly more bizarre.

Another strange thing is that ever since I was sixteen many of my dreams have taken place in an alternate Spokane that is internally consistent from dream to dream, events permanently impact the locale and things do not seem to change for no reason. I have been able to visit fictional restaurants etc. simply by realizing I was where I was (i.e. that I was dreaming) and choosing to leave the plot of my dream to spend time elsewhere. Of course in other dreams I am haplessly carried along by them throughout this landscape with no control at all.

Maybe you're psychic...

That more or less happened to my friend Tim...He's 30 and just finally got his diploma from his Alma Mater. Administrative oversights suck.

Never, never, never in real life would I cope well with that.

Hey, I need to talk to you about co-ordinating some sort of BBQ on 8/19 for all the out-of-towners (although certainly it is Jayme centric). I'd just open it up and have it mi casa but it is within days of our due date. So, being responsible and all, I'd like to come up with a more fool proof plan.

The short list of OOTs (off the top of my head) is:
  • Jayme,
  • Melanie,
  • Neal Gamache & wife,
  • Kira (maybe),
  • others I have forgotten or am unaware of.
