Shaking My Baby Like A Polaroid Picture

It's her favorite game: to be lightly shaken (she's young I cannot yet tell if she is at all stirred) while chanting "Shake the baby, shake the baby! Shake! Shake! Shake!" Other games which amuse her to no end (or at least until she gets bored of them) are: Ghost Baby a halloween themed flying baby game that ends with a a menacingly whispered "ghost baby!" or Hop on Pop where in she jumps (with assistance) and causes me to get slightly nauseated if I have recently eaten.

In other news our pantry is 99% ready for primer and paint. Then we can reclaim our kitchen from the pantry items that have sprawled across it. Also we will have a freezer that we could put deer meat into (if I can stand the expected conservative gloating I have been expecting ever since the most un-super tuesday ever--but venison is sooooo worth it.) I also got some PS2 lovin' in over the weekend and I am back on the electronic gaming track. Too bad the baby has to sit in her cardboard box so often now.

This is what happens when you go crazy and destroy your own franchise. Like [livejournal.com profile] stroum said over at Shaw Island today. It's not that it might even be true it's the fact that he has so thoroughly destroyed my joy in the series that I cannot say, "That is an obvious heresy! Die infidel fool!" and then attack the offender with my authentic light saber. No I am forced into a world where while it may not be true, odds are about 50-50 that it probably is. I get all kinds of incoherent just thinking about it. And I'll still go see the sum-a-bitch. At least Serenity this April!

The Berni Sez

Y'know, I've never had venison. Good that you've got a freezer capable of holding it; every time I got a bison meat invite I had to decline due to lack of freezer space.

Mmm. Bison burgers.

I do miss the buffalo meat too.

Wow! You kept the cardboard box she came in? I usually just recycle those. And regarding Halloween-themed baby distractions - I have some friends who pretty much raised their daughter on "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - she is a very funny, very well-adjusted child. Not a recommendation per se but...

Ok, since when were you the father of mail order children?

[identity profile] bryree.livejournal.com 2004-11-09 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Um...I...well.. Look! Josh being sucked by BEES!!

[identity profile] kung-fu-monkey.livejournal.com 2004-11-09 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
First mail order children, then sex acts with insects. What the hell are you on??

[identity profile] toosuto.livejournal.com 2004-11-09 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
dude: bees are hot. Or rather when they sting it is like tiny hot pin pricks of white hotness. (what are hot.)

[identity profile] kung-fu-monkey.livejournal.com 2004-11-09 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
So they sting while they suck? And you like this?

I'm so glad you're in another state.
:-p

I shall continue to make oh-so-subtle literary references until you desist making a tempest in a teacup. Behold my subtilty!! Grr!! Arg!!

Oh, and whatever it might be, I'm not sharing. ;p

We used the box to store some china but also recently emptied the box again. Hooray for recycling!

A friend of mine's godson was apparently raised on old shakespeare films. At age 4 he would do Sir Olivier's St. Crispin's Day speech (that's Richard the II right? I'm supposed to know these things aren't i? Bad theater major! bad!)

Actually, it's Henry V. And as punishment, you shall be...sucked by BEES! Still, I'd go with 'raised on Shakespeare' as a notch above 'raised on Tim Burton,' no matter how much I like his stuff. Maybe I'll try that when (if {sigh}) I have my own (non-mail-order) children.

'Course, 'not raised on videos and television' is arguably better than either of the above I suppose...

I'm doing my best to raise her on good (classic?) alt rock and quality writing (where ever it be found) and potaotes. You can almost never go wrong with potatoes.

[identity profile] bryree.livejournal.com 2004-11-09 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmm...potatoes.

She likes it. Plus she does not have to flu. That's what I did to my friend Karen. skook up her sick god son and handed him back (of course I was shaking him while holding him upside down above me saying "Your'er not going to throw up on me!" % seconds after she got him back he lost it all over her. It was awsome!
