Dear Mr. Lucas and Mr. Spielberg,

I finally got around to watching your latest Indiana Jones film. What the hell? It was mostly okay except I could feel Goerge's filthy hands all over it through CGI prairie dogs and monkeys. Neither were needed in any way, particularly the monkeys. This was not the best Indiana Jones film ever but I think you were doing some good things aging the characters and moving it forward in time. Right up until Shia LaBeouf became King of the Monkeys for no good reason at all. Please feel free to return to good hollywood glam pulp action at any time JUST STOP ADDING STUPID FLOURISHES OKAY?

two types of Indi movies:

A: Raiders & Last Crusade
&
B: Temple of Doom & Crystal Skull

A being higher quality than B, but B is still an Indi movie.

I would have rated Crystal Skull above Temple except for the whole monkey thing...

I'm not sure. The ending was almost too far-fetched for me. The other two movies felt a lot more believable, even to me (who can suspend her disbelief to unnecessarily extreme lengths, according to my boyfriend).

Rosemary went into false labor at exactly the point with the monkeys. Up to that point, I was thinking it was much better than I had expected it to be. Then I saw that as we were standing up to leave and after just a glimpse I said, "Maybe we're leaving at the right moment." Imagine: Somebody--somebody who probably gets paid a lot of money--thought that was a good idea.

It went back to not sucking after that, but for about 30 seconds I wanted to just turn it off. I've spent all the time since then wondering what purposed it served. Couldn't Mutt have figured out how to swing from vines without monkeys?
