Narrative Urges

So I've been all crazy with the stoopid winter holidays and such. Good times but I am glad they are over.

Christmas started around 4 PM on the 24th when we made the pilgrimage out to Cheney to spend time with Sara's Step-dad's Tim's family. We'd been un-invited from stuff for some years after our wedding because Sara and I are philistines and sent no thank you notes. They've been convinced to move on so we have too, even if it means one more stop at the holidays though. Afterwards both Sara, Rona and I were all too tired for anything else so we ditched Jesus and skipped church. Christmas day consisted of our house, my parents house; Sar's mom's house; then her Dad's house (although Christmas was had the day before because that's when it was convenient for everyone else--of course no one told us until Christmas eve. So we hung out and played games with Sara's brother who was in from Oklahoma); and once that was done we went back to Sara's Mom's house for christmas with the rest of that family. Needless to say a lot of wrapping was done last minute and our house was an un-mitigated dis-fucking-saster. But multiple chances to play Guillotine (it is now out of print: :( sadness); Captain Park's Imaginary Polar Expedition; and Unexploded Cow.

The week before christmas I did managed to hook up with [livejournal.com profile] jeremyrichards and our friend Darren who was up from LA, both of which were a nice break from the pre-christmas insanity, even if I didn't see Darren until after christmas.

A picture update will be coming soon (unfortunately flickr has become so popular that uploading can be a lengthy project. Luckily I optimize everything before I start the process so it could be a lot worse I suppose.)

I certainly hope that the holidays treated you al well and it seems to have been so. I'll just take the credit now though since I obviously spent all that extra time with the good vibe sending that I could have spent posting about the good vibe sending right? Right.

HA! Actually ... I don't have your phone numbers anymore - then you might! E-mail 'em to me?

Unexploded Cow...

I have Son of Game Box™ and not nearly the captive audience it so deserves. I think I could get a good G&C thing going if I could find an appropriate venue but all the coffee shops shut down at 6 PM so that everyone can go the bar. Except Starbucks but it'll be a cold day in hell that I bring a group of people to them consistently to hang out. Plus: not so comfy.

Maybe a G&C bar scene??

The mind boggles - or mine does anyway - too easily...

Never did get to play unexploded cow - next time we'll have to set aside a night for gaming. We'll be in CA this summer and will try our damndest to get up there again. Happy Christmas, fucker!

Hey, did you see that Fatal Dingo Attack! has become an internets sensation?

[livejournal.com profile] peregrin8 added it to the interests of [livejournal.com profile] burneko_fans. It warmed the very cockles of my otherwise shriveled and condescending heart.

I did watch that unfolding of a new chapter in Fatal Dingo Attack! But what, pray tell, is the burneko and what can we attribute to their fandom?
