I recently (read: this morning) finished up this iPod book project for Sara. I had originally picked up this copy of An Actor Prepares to house the 2G 20 GB iPod I got for her (nearly a year and half ago) but it died a noble death long before I even came close to finishing it. I've adapted it to fit my Nano (because eventually Sara will have one too).

iPod Book

It opens up to reveal a too large compartment for the Nano and extra storage space (it would have originally fit the 20 GB, it's cables and it's power supply. Now the extra space in the main compartment is hidden below the Nano (it actually flips up out of the way) which is held in place by a felt pouch with a simple pull through buckle. There is still place for the power supply (if we ever get one–unlikely) and a side strip for headphones.

iPod Book

Plus you can run the headphones out of the pass through and pack it all up and still listen to it. I am actually pretty happy with it considering I made up the whole thing as I went along since I couldn't find any good instructions for one on the interwebs.

iPod Book

Aaaaand I'm done cluttering up the intertubes today.

That is fantastic. What did you use to cut through the pages?

I'm thinking this would be fun to have, but I may alter it to hold something other than an iPod. :)
