Feeling Good

secret_hippie's grandfather video conference with her cousin in Hawaii today which was awesome. He hasn't seen her in some time (and is really not doing particularly well–Hospice is starting to get involved with his care now so...). His face lit up the instant he saw the screen and it really redeemed the completely stupid week I'd been having. Plus I told the Wife™ how much was in the Acid Tongue account and it is enough to get my bike ordered (no one actually carries them in the store anymore since they are not fast movers) so hopefully by the time we get back from Portland I can haul around the Monkey™. Also adding to the good feelings is the tux in the closet which I shall wear tonight to Fundraiser for School with Too Much Money Anyway. But I get free dinner at the Davenport and to meet some of secret_hippie's colleagues. Tomorrow: Eberron, laundry folding and time making so that my accountant can get our taxes done.
