Last week was long. I worked 40+ (which I haven't done at one place for almost a year) because of the combination of a short week next week and the upcoming Fall Arts Preview issue of the Inlander. I broke down and skipped my guitar lesson on Wednesday in an attempt to have some down time. I will am also considering practicing soley on my own (which I fear I do not have the dedication to do) or changing my lessons to every other week so I can handle school, work and seeing my family. Every day this week I am woken up by the ache in my metacarpals on both hands, I haven't practiced in over a week now. I need to get on that.
Hd a quick, but good, lunch with
belladonnalin on Friday. We sat down for sushi and exchanged information in dense bursts. Fun, tasty and quick. Rushed back to the office and managed to make up for the waste of my morning that was the Interplayer's photoshoot.
Lazed around for yesterday. We went to the Old European for breakfast and then to Old Navy for some new jeans for Rona. We came away with new jeans, a shirt, a sweater, a monkey suit, pajama pants for the Wife™, and a new shirt for moi (I was surprised too). We came home and made vague attempts at cleaning and laundry but mostly we watched our saved television and napped (sort of anyway) and finally read some more of There's No Time Like Showtime before turning out the light.
Today we load up for the party at Costco, finish goodie bags for the childrens and truly clean house. Tomorrow is t he big day: woot!
A (almost) hypothetical question: I've got $140 towards a new camera (which also requires a lens at $100+ as well). Should I blow it on a scanner? I have held off on getting my domain because I wouldn't have much content without one since I want it primarily for art reasons which the scanner would at least facilitate (although not guarantee, I haven't picked up pencil since Portland).

Date: 4 Sep 2005 21:36 (UTC)On the other hand, I'd like to be able to post my work. I am thinking that it may even facilitate my school work in the graphic design program...
Hmmm. Maybe I've already made up my mind and I simply want to be validated.
