First and foremost if the only traditional "Irish" song you know is The Scotsman. Keep it to yourself. I fucking hate that song and it makes me want to punch you in the face. I don't care if you think it is funny, the song has lost all novelty especially when you can't remember all the words never mind the fact you are tone deaf. Plus I can think of at least two or three French-Canadian songs that are more Irish. Did I mention it makes me want to punch you in the face?

Two do not add green dye to your Corona and call it good. In fact, don't add green dye to any beer: it is stupid and makes me want to punch you in the face.

Now everyone go home and watch The Boondock Saints.

Are you trying to tell me that in Ireland they DON'T dye all their beer green and sing songs about SCOTS? I think it's lies!!!

It must be true i read it on the internet.

I should take this opportunity to point out that this post is courtesy of insomnia, the contracting bid to replace the fence around our house, my general unemployment status, and that fucking scotsman song.

At the risk of causing unnecessary stress, what is The Scotsman? Is that the song they always play on bagpipes? You know, the one that goes: na, na, nanana, na na, na, na, nanana...? You know the one.

Ah, thanks. By the rhythm of it, it seems similar to Buck o' Nine's Irish Drinking Song, but trying to tell melodies by their lyrics is a bit like trying to make sexual advances through a fax machine; it's slow and unrewarding, and ultimately confusing.
