13 December 2006 15:29Things have been good but busy. Sar has turned into in one of two papers she has due before christmas break (the only grades she'll be getting for said classes) and the second is due on Friday. Aikido belt testing was last sunday and if I had only started a little sooner I probably could have tested and gotten my yellow belt. But on the other hand I spent Sunday afternoon editing Sara's paper. Luckily (this is questionable only in the terms of the hurt I felt yesterday) Geoff Sensei stayed over to teach the regular Monday evening class where I met himself as well as a few the other Sensei's and a wood worker from Salida CO. I'm really excited about aikido right now. It's a good time, everyone has a good sense of humour (no one laughed anywhere near as much while at Chinen Sensei's dojo), and I like how it works. I did well at Goju Ryu but when it came down to it I just don't like striking people and so found randori or the contemplation of actually using it difficult. I know that's not very likely that I'll have to use aikido but because I don't actually do any of the hurting I feel like if it came to it I'd be better equipped. I am hoping against hope that where ever we end up when we are done here there is some place where I can study (and even better not have to start over as there are 3 different aikido schools as I understand it currently).
Cesa comes on tuesday, we have a tiny tree and we starting to get christmas in the mail to home. Life is good.
