1. Rona has moved to "big girl panties" about 70-80% of the time. She's still in diapers at school or while napping but she is way too efficient and excited to get stickers. In the last 5 days she's had two diaper changes that weren't related to bodily functions taking place while she was asleep.

2. Having a hard time getting properly motivated to work. I have my own little projects that I am chipping away at slowly but the larger project of freelancing has been overwhelmingly overwhelming. Especially once I realized that, as an illustrator anyway, I have a long way to go before I can even attempt to start selling myself, my portfolio is sad, sad, sad. Unfortunately research is not my strong suit and sifting through the portfolio's of success is somewhat dream crushing because these other people already do it so much better, why bother. Suffice to say I'm working on that.

3. Need to get back on the local photography work attempt horse. Or even the local stage crew at HMT, I could do load ins at least.

4. Need to shoot more. The inertia hasn't taken complete root but I am struggling to shake it off.

5. Heroes is awesome. Thank goodness all the aired episodes to date were included in the Christmas Care Package of Doom: Snacks, Drugs and Television (Which Is Another Kind of Drug)

6. I'd really like to make it to a G&C and see everyone and all the new kiddos I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.

7. Seven, no no no tomorrow.

8. This whole list was building to that.

Me too. Rona would love to have so many new friends, and I would love to see my old ones and their growing families.

Heroes is pretty awesome. I will grant it's somewhat inconsistent, and may not be the *best* show out there, but, I really love it. And, of course, it was the hint behind the coolest b-day present this year, which I'm sure derbiser or goobermunch mentioned...

In other news, I found out that German stamps are all public domain. USSR stamps also. I have lots of both. Postcards from k8space.

derbisher found a copy of the promo Heroes comic book, (they printed and distributed about 1000 for Wizard World Con in Chicago) *signed* by Jeph Loeb, who was there. He also put the premiere date/time under his sig. It's got some of the artwork seen in the show's comic on air, plus some interviews, plus some things not seen on the show (at least they haven't been yet).

Plus, *signed.* By *Jeph Loeb.*

It's so very pretty.

It stands for "Gin and Coffee" which I used to think meant getting together and drinking gin AND coffee, and really it means getting to gether and PLAYING gin (and lots of other games) and drinking coffee. A bunch of our friends do it on Frday nights in Colorado.

We still do it on occasion, but, it's not been declared since November.

I'm not sure it ever meant *actual* Gin, since no *actual* gin has ever been consumed. I think it always referenced the card game, with the added bonus of a corresponding beverage name. So, basically "Cards and Coffee," which is more precise, but less evocative.
