Sometimes it's just nice to see things in print. From TV Tropes in regard to retconning of Battlestar Galactica after the miniseries:

"…the show is notable for a major Ret Con. In the miniseries and the first few episodes, it is shown that Cylon spines glow during sex. However, this was officially retconned by producers when it was pointed out that Dr. Baltar would then have a 100% accurate Cylon detector. In his pants."

I don't think we ever saw a male cylon's spine glow during sex. Still, imagine the testing cycle!

Then again, maybe that explains the loose women hanging around during his presidency. He was just doing his part to identify cylon spies!

Well, we also didn't see a male Cylon *have* sex before the retcon. Of course, it could also be that cylons only got that "special glow" when having sex with non-Cylons.

Yeah. But, of course, that would be little more than a fan wank. Except for those slutty Cylons.
