Scotland folk: any advice on how to deal with a lost package? One of the four we sent didn't make it (the one with Carcasonne and Betrayal at the House on the Hill as well as some of Rona's toys as well). I'm wondering if it might be easier to claim it through our renter's insurance. I dunno, since I was both the shipper and the receiver and I'm no longer resident there I expect trouble. And google wasn't exactly reassuring either.
The new place is almost ready to stay in. There is a large hole over where our bed should be that will hopefully be fixed today. On Sunday when we put the bed together Sara discovered a leak in the interior water main of the building. By Monday when I showed the soft patch of ceiling to the apartment manager there was a water stain and by Tuesday afternoon it was fixed and a very large hole was left behind. Almost everything is out of boxes except books, books and more books. I'm afraid to open those boxes up, we have so many and less shelves than when we left.
On the job front: I have keys so I guess I'm hired! On the other hand still no firm start date. (At least other than "When are you going back to Scotland? Really? Then? Damn.")
