So I've secured temporary full time employment (through the end of February at least if not longer). I'll be holding the fort in [livejournal.com profile] secret_hippie's old job as Testing Center Manager for 20 hours and another 20 in the computer lab as testing proctor (but mostly a warm body) in the library at Spokane Community College. Now I just need to deal with the whole failed (?) professional career thing...

On an even brighter note....

Yay for job!

It's just a gap, not a failure. And your fill-in job gives you time to pursue your a/vocation in the dead time, so hooray!

I am hoping. It's kind of one of those things where I could do grunt work forever and never advance or just have a slimmer chance the longer I am away from it (I will be doing precious little paid photography while I am working at the college) or I dunno whatever. Stoopid life planning soul searching crap. Freaking out on Thursday (the day I should have started the job I wanted) didn't help either...

But thanks, I am doing much better now!

Well, think about it this way: you do it because you like doing it, right? So just do it for your own sake. Take pix and draw stuff as much as you can find time for. Your skill can only increase with practice, and as you get better, traditional career pathways will become less important.

Which is part of what I work to remember. Sometimes I do better than others...
