Yup just our living room wall. I've got a light with a soft box in front of Todd just to the camera's left (dialed down to just a hair under 1/2 power), a "hair" light just off camera to the right at 1/32 or 1/64 power and a light on the floor behind him aimed at the wall at full to wash it out good. I'm shooting at 100 ASA, F7 or so and 1/200 of a second (or there abouts).
f11 & 1/200. And my camera does say ISO not ASA. I just tend to use them interchangeably to refer to film speed. The info on the lights settings was right the first time around though.
Oh, okay. I got aperture ratings drummed into me at one point (2, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22) but I know that Fuji, at least, was silly enough to put intermediate numbers in there, completely ignoring the reason those numbers were there. So when we get info back from a session, it might say F 9.5 even though that doesn't exist.
The ASA surprised me because I didn't know you'd worked with film.
I know my camera does have an f7 as well as a number of other non-standard f-stops and I've noticed it seems pretty common in cameras these days. I couldn't tell you why they are there as I am too lazy to look it up. (And behind on some illustration.)
Now, I mean this in the best possible way, so please take this as I mean it, and not how it may sound.
Is he of dwarven blood? 'Cause he really looks it in that shot. (And since you know me, you know that this isn't an insult in any way. Quite the contrary, in fact.)

Date: 13 May 2008 19:26 (UTC)I shot film (poorly) in high school, and then at GU with Bill. Other than a brief fling with some 120mm film in Denver it's been all digital all the time for me.
