My husband can not understand my need for books. He calls my reading an "addiction worse than cocaine." I used to buy books just to give them a good home. I really try to stay away from bookstores, but the library has a siren's call to me. The best job I ever had was shelving books at the public library. Unfortunately, it did not provide enough money to keep the kids in school or groceries on the the table, but I sure loved the job. If I had to open a store, it would be a bookstore.
