Tomorrow is Friday: I am both excited and saddened actually. But I just had the most brilliant of RP sessions playing old school first edition. GOOD TIMES!
Pretty much, my friend Paul put together a dungeon that he and a co-DM generated on the fly using mostly 1st ed rules (and some 2nd for clarification etc.) and then ran it at SpoCon this year as a table you could drop into at any time if you were between events etc. It was a very good time. Although I admit I had forgotten how annoying experience point awards were. The bard was third level by the time I was halfway to second... Being doubled over with laughter made up for it though.
Oh man am I jealous...I'd be more jealous if I weren't playing a 4th ed game on Sunday. Seriously, hooray for playing D&D again! Now if you could just slide yourselves over here, we'd be all set. ;)
(I like the photo, too. I'm not much of a photo critic but I am glad that you are posting them so I will continue to say "yay".)
