What I can't understand is if you believe in it and don't have the knowledge to purify the object (or at least make it safe to own) why in God's name would you buy it!? "Oh look a cursed item that will bring ruin upon my house. How interesting. Only $280 you say? What a steal!" Or from the other end, "Look what a bunch of superstitious ninnies. An over priced antique with a interesting fairytale history? What a steal!" Obviously these people have way too much money.
And since I fall into the middle category and think that jury is still out on these mystical mysteries, half of me simply wants the money that is being thrown at these things and the other half wants a rabbi to take the damn thing and exorcise it. I'm just glad it is supposedly across the country from me.
That was great, thanks for sharing it. Totally fun and creepy. I agree that I can't understand who would want that thing, unless they have some actual knowledge of what to do with it. In a related story: I bought a pack of cigarettes, they had strange markings on them... now my apartment smells like smoke. Hm.
