Yet More Numbered Things

56) I like the new job. I like that I get to put things like "A LONG HARD LECTURE" in to print because Ron Jeremy is coming to town etc. etc. etc. Plus it only took two weeks to include mandatory Toto references.

3.9874) Now I will admit to some sort of new year. I think the Chinese had it right. Although I'll attribute most of my improved mood to the fact that while it is still cold overnight daytime temps here are consistently in the 40s with clear skies.

7) I was pleasantly surprised and then confused when belladonnalin's name showed up on my caller id yesterday. Turns out it was her old workplace whom I had turned to way back in August when I was trying to escape the law firm. K. you'll be glad to know that after more than 5 months of no communication in either direction Marla found a a possible fit for me. She didn't seem to know quite what to say when she asked if I was still at the law firm and I firmly replied, "Ah hell no." I was briefly annoyed and then mostly amused. Mmmmm, amused.

My class gets out at 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This Thursday, I was delighted when I stepped outside after class and, while it wasn't light out, it definitely wasn't night, either. Longer days and shorter nights are coming. Awwww, yeah.
