No. we were playing at the top of the falls. Hence the "we almost lost kisken that day". Although I sort of resent the idea that a trip on which I was almost lost was one of the "best" trips.
Curses! We tried but failed so badly. I feel a compulsion to return and find a way! If only we had asked the 8-10 people that came back up while we were at dinner on Friday night...
Hmmm... I see how those two sentences look bad together. But we didn't lose you, so it was all good. I also remember the last thing Ted said was to not wake up too quickly because the snakes and scorpions like to cuddle with warmth at night. It's a good thing there were so many stars to look at because it took me a loooong time to fall asleep.
I love that place. In addition, a large group of people spent an afternoon napping out there on the day after my 21st birthday. Or so it seems to me. Can anyone confirm or deny?
That was absolutly the case. It sorta put an end to the "24 hours" of drinking, as people crashed for awhile. The groups was largely awakened by the sound of a mower, as a ranger came through mowing the grass. Joe thought she was cute.
Thus it is decided. I should like to descend upon Palouse Falls for my 31st birthday. The 24 hours of drinking shall be reduced to 4, and there shall be no mowers. Otherwise, all will be as it was 10 years ago.
That would have been when Kate, Nick, Joe, and I all drove up there, and Nick and Kate drove home from. That was quite a festive trip, if I ignore the abrupt ending part.
