So a long long time ago I told [livejournal.com profile] slownewsday that I would forward the URLs I visit regularly. A second later I had an even better idea and said I would post them to my LJ. This then is that long delayed post. Or at least part of it. I am sitting on a lot of links here.

Today will be links from my general category of Web Comics (whatever that means).

Firstly there is Dinosaur Comics: you simply cannot live with out it. There is a LJ feed for it as well. As well as a feed for Whispered Apologies a side project that has sprung out of DC.

PvP Online: I started reading this one via Penny Arcade. I find it generally amusing although overtime I have found Kurtz's attitude to be more annoying. Late updating puts it on the edge of constantly being purged from the daily browsing but so far it has maintained a modicum of interest for me.

Bruno: an interesting and ongoing character study that I plowed through the archives back when I was unemployed. I highly recommend his daily strip Little Dee. Talking bears, a mute, sassy penguins, what more could you ask for?

Scary Go round: quirky british strip and the orginator of my fabulous "ook ack" monkey shirt. What is not to love?

Penny Arcade: it's really wierd but I've been reading this for time out of mind. Ever since the husband of one of my actors said to me, "I've got this website, you should check it out." My own little brush with pre-fame. I beleive that you cannot go wrong with claw shrimp.

Shaw Island: I can't recall how I came across this one. I particularly like the bits with hamsters.

Cat and Girl: I could attempt to describe it but all words would fail.

Return to Sender: was praised by Neil Gaiman hisself but she still updates seldomly. We did get Snow-bo as a consolation prize I suppose. Her line quality is great and make sme sick with the jealousy.

Exploding Dog: I could explain but again, nothing could make sense of it. Updates seem to have very nearly dried up but there are plenty of archives to dig through. Many hidden humour nuggets.

Slow Wave: send Jesse Reklaw your dreams and he will illustrate them. In a four panel comic.

A Softer World: high-brow art comics. Generally amusing, even the pretensious sounding ones.

Homestar Runner: if you are unaware t hen you have really got a bad case of the old.

Angry Alien: 30-second movie parodies as performed by bunnies.

the Zoo: penned by [livejournal.com profile] thezoo_drawer and fellow CSz player Gabe Strine. It also updates on Mondays at Komic Werks.

(almost there I swear...)

Perry Bible Fellowship: non-sequitors galore!

Bitter Films: Don Hertzfeld is a sick sick man. He brought us Rejected and Billy's Balloon. No updates to these but I do go back and re-read them about once a year...

Making Fiends is from the same animator that brought us Big Bunny.

There is also a Get Fuzzy LJ feed, Some Guy Named Paul Comics, a Dork Tower LJ feed

Sweet jesus Handrea really hurts. We'll stop for today.
