Rona and I got out of the house today so Sara could do research from home. We bussed downtwon and then walked south to the Banks O' Dee Athletic Day for Japan Day and the Aberdeen Kendo Thistle Cup competition. We had a pretty good time. Rona got to meet some of my "'kido friends" and enjoyed watching "those guys shout and BANG!"

We then had a picnic across the river from Duthie Park and the walked back downtown past several cricket games. The Inlaws™ arrive in three days and we're about 70% done with papers (Sara has papers due on the 11th, 14th and 18th) so hopefully she won't be too overstressed about being gone while they're here.

I also got a haircut earlier in the week, I believe I already spoke to how awesome it is...

Sara's placement finished yesterday and she rocked the casbah (a 6 out of 6)! Also Rona and I are glad to have more of her time, even if she does have some significant writing to be done between now and a week from Tuesday.

May is going to be a pretty sweet month: the Inlaws™ visit will be a really good time, we are headed down to Fife to see more of this beautiful country and hang out with the flickr friends, plus shortly after May is done we get to take the sleeper train down to London. Also we decided to pretend we'd have the money while we still did and bought tickets to see Great Big Sea at Loch Ness in August. The sun rises early and is setting later and later. Soon it will be all day all the time! We're just in a damn good mood! It makes me just as happy as sushi.
