I put the BLS on her plane back to London yesterday and gave the sweet sweet freedom of the rental car. How will we get to Costco [in 6 months when we run out of toilet paper] ? It's good to be attempting our regular routine. Vacations and visitors are nice but I like some regularity to my days, it's the organizational whore inside me.

Random bits left over from the visits: Rona now will occasionally (with prompting) declare, "I decide who lives or dies!"

If I get really homesick (unlikely) Costco will cure it. Spend the a hundred bills (it almost always comes out to somewhere eerily close to a hundred) and then a 1.50 for a soda and hot dog.

Went Out™ with [livejournal.com profile] neepheid on a crawl last night. As he says, if you go to more than one pub technically it's a crawl. Not only did we hit my first old manny's bar (the Bells) but I was introduced to the Sizzler: the Aberdeen version of In and Out Burger. Sure the prices are a little higher, but the all angus beef burgers are bigger too. Suffice to say: delicious.

I even started real work on a project today (BTW [livejournal.com profile] neepheid re: your comment last night: you were right, it was just a holiday delay) that will pay me some monies. Not a lot of them but some is better than none right? I may even get some off the books work at a local pub because living on loan disbursements sucks, especially if you overdid it at christmas time (not that we are complaining, it was a fantastijimagical holiday this year).

And aikido begins again on Monday and d&d is even magically resuming this weekend too (I thought it might take a bit longer to get back together).

I DECIDE WHO LIVES OR DIES!

Awesome. You totally have to call us and have her say that. Or at least call Tyler.

I am waiting for her to do it more consistently, 50% of the time she just tells us, "No, I can't say 'I decide.'"

I think it's good that she is challenging you on these important existential issues. I can't say that "I decide" either, Rona.
