I was doing the math yesterday or some other day in the very recent past and determined that I have $1802.00 left of unemployment funds. And by doing some math I mean a got yet another check and it it listed the amount left, of course this is does include the check that is even now winging its way to me now.
In true form, yesterday afternoon I finally got a call back from a company that wasn't a) the one I used to work looking to offer me a temp contract (while the money is good the work is not consistent enough to count on--one job in 7 months) or b) from a company that kept telling I was hired but couldn't tell me when I would start-for three weeks. I go in this afternoon to impress upon Mona that I am everything she could want in a receptionist. It's not great but it pays just slightly less than unemployment and maybe I could have some health insurance for me and mine. Especially because if that Murphy guy was right shortly after finding a nice little interim job I will get some sort of offer that while better is terribly inconvenient, in this case meaning I would have to start immediately and move across the state.
