The Value of Photography

This recently made a big splash in the web. And I think it really highlights what I think is important and valuable about photography. She also has a follow up due to the response to the original post here. I know I am currently in a place personally where my status as a “professional” photographer is in flux: I’ve had to return to school and I am working on alternative career paths to provide for my family and our debt load but I found the piece touching and inspiring to continue making memories for those that I have the good fortune to be able to work for.
